Marge Dooley, 86, of Salisbury, MO, died Sunday, September 7, 2025 at University Hospital in Columbia, MO. Marge was born February 21, 1939 in Chariton County, MO the daughter of Wallace C. and Mable (Harlan) Thompson. She married Melvard Dooley on March 2, 1957 at the First Baptist Church in Salisbury, MO and he preceded her in death on December 26, 2014.

Marge was a graduate of Salisbury High School, Class of 1957. She was manager for Bill's Dollar Store, Orscheln Store, and filled many positions at Red Cross Pharmacy. She was a member of the Salisbury First Baptist Church. She served as a former member of the Salisbury Park Board and ABWA. Marge was a huge St. Louis Cardinal Fan and enjoyed watching MU basketball.

Marge is survived by two daughters Janet Wells of Fayette, MO, Jody Curren of Wichita Falls, Tx, grandchildren Becky (Ted) Cole, Shelly Burks, Zach (Laura) Dooley, Blaine (Haleigh) Curren, Caitlin Wells (Josef McCloud), great grandchildren Gage Berry, Kyran Burks, Kinley Burks, Murphy Cole, Aurelia Dooley, Felix Dooley, Alaina Curren, Hendrix Curren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Melvard, daughter Joyce Burks, sons-in-law John Burks, Marc Wells, brothers Eugene Thompson, George Thompson and sister Erlene Weinhaus.

Visitation is Thursday, September 11, 2025 from 4-6:00 p.m. at the Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury, MO. Funeral service is Friday, September 12, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Summerville Funeral Home with burial in Eastlawn Memory Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Prairie Hill Cemetery Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
