Margie Compton

Margie Compton passed away on September 24, 2023 at age 69. The Funeral Service is 4 p.m. Saturday, September 30, 2023 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. Interment in Hurricane Creek Baptist Church, Lebanon TN, will follow the service. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Saturday from noon until the service at 4 p.m.
Margie Jean Wilson Compton was born in Gainesboro TN to Opal Kristine Keith and Ben Wilson. She married David Compton and they had a wonderful life together raising kids and spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She worked for many years as Housekeeper for Cracker Barrel's hotel, the Executive Inn. She was a proud mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and was not bashful about sharing it. She enjoyed every minute spent watching and caring for each and every member of her family. They enjoyed meals, camping, and travelling together.
Margie is survived by husband of 42 years, David Compton; children: Melissa (Terry) Holmes, Jimmy (Lois) Dean, Connie (Todd) Christian, and Jody (Paige) Compton; grandchildren: Kristina Lashbrook, Nick Reckner, Sarah Alvarado, Rebecca Dean, Danny Dean, Christopher Christian, Autumn Christian, Lawson Bardin, Cody Compton, and Ellainna Compton; great-grandchildren: Rocky, Riley, Raun, Reanna, and Reece Pigott, Nathan, Ava, and Adrian Alvarado, and Winter White; siblings: Dennis "Colonel" (Paula) White and Loretta (Mike) Moore; brothers and sisters in-law Ronald Compton, Phillip Compton, Paula Compton, and Kris Brown. She is preceded in death by grandparents Mammie and Pappy Keith, parents Opal and Ben H. Wilson, and brothers Benny "Poe" Wilson, Robert "Shoes" Biggs, and Darrell Biggs.
