Berry Funeral Home & CrematoryMrs. Margie ‘Estelle’ Pitts Parham, 92, of Elberton, wife of the late Omer Sanford Parham, Jr., passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Augusta Gardens in Augusta, where she had been lovingly cared for during the last three years.
Mrs. Parham was born in Oglethorpe County on October 1, 1932, daughter of the late Juit Pitts and Onie Caldwell Pitts. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and retired from Pinnacle Bank where she worked in the bookkeeping department for nearly 50 years.
Survivors include her son, Bruce S. Parham of Augusta; daughter and son-in-law, Jan P. and Stroud Williams of Birmingham, AL; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.She is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years; parents; and siblings: Floradene Hammond, Jeanette Witcher, Ben Pitts, Dewey Pitts, and Barbara Shell.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 20, from 2:00-2:45p.m. at Berry Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3:00p.m. in the funeral home chapel, officiated by the Rev. Tim Adams.
Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park with Barry Witcher, Tim Parham, Mitchell Parham, Glenn Parham, Mark Shell, and Randy Rice honored as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Parham and Darrell Witcher.
Flowers are accepted, and contributions may be made in her memory to Antioch Baptist Church, 2479 Antioch Church Road, Dewy Rose, GA 30634.
