Margie Summers Plummer, 93, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. She was born in Kentucky on October 1, 1928. Her parents were Captain Orvil Summers and Athalyne Summers.
She was a professional BBQ judge with a Master's Degree and a PHB of BBQ. She was a certified Table Captain SCA judge. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to cook and make people happy.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday October 3, 2021, at Booneville Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Wallace officiating. A time of visiting with family will be from 12:30 until 2:00 on Sunday, October 3, 2021. Booneville Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by one daughter, Pamela P. Grooms and husband, David E. Grooms, of Booneville; grandchildren, David A. Grooms, Chasely T. Grooms (Kelsey Grooms), Wesley K. Grooms (Mary Grooms), and Bradley T. Grooms (Molly Trimble); great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Grooms, Benjamin Grooms, Annalise Grooms, Hunter Grooms, Peyton Grooms, Everly Grooms, Ethan Grooms, Kenna Grooms, Eli Grooms, and one step child, Glenda Bristow.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Tobias Plummer, her parents, son, Larry Plummer and two brothers, Orvil Eugene Summers and George Dempsey Summers.
Pallbearers will be David Grooms, Chasely T. Grooms, Wesley K. Grooms, and Bradley T. Grooms. Honorary pallbearers will be Benjamin Grooms, Annalise Grooms, Hunter Grooms, Peyton Grooms, Everly Grooms, Ethan Grooms, Kenna Grooms, and Eli Grooms.
Memorials may be made to LeBonheur Children's Hospital in honor of Peyton Tyler Grooms, "Our Heart Hero" for heart research.
Condolences may be extended to the family at boonevillefuneralhome.net.
