Margie Lee Richardson, 94, of Mt Holly, passed away at home on November 17, 2024. She was born on October 13, 1930, in Macon County, to the late Denver Eugene Justus and Mary Wilsie Frazier Justus.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl Bobby Richardson; son, Steve Richardson; grandson, Terry Jarrell; brother, Jimmy Justus; and sister, Lillian James.
Margie loved the Lord and was a lifelong member of Dallas Wesleyan Church. She enjoyed gardening, planting flowers, and sewing. She looked forward to traveling to the North Carolina beaches and to the mountains. She loved spending time with her grandkids and her great grandchildren.
Family members left to cherish her memories include daughters, Marsha Taylor, Karen Williams (Chuck); grandsons, Rickey Jarrell, Jarrett Moore; granddaughters, Rhonda Gibson, Donna Jackson (Randy); great grandchildren, Levi Jarrell, Shawn Jackson, Cody Gibson, Lilian Moore, Carl Moore; along with 3 step grandchildren; 7 step great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home on Thursday, November 21, 2024.
Margie’s Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Randy Richardson officiating.
Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in Margie’s name to Carolina Caring Foundation, 3975 Robinson Rd., Newton, NC 28658.
