Margie L. Small

Mrs. Margie Lorraine Smith Small, (80) passed away at her home in Grandview, on Wednesday June 7, 2023.
She was born on September 15, 1942, in Ladonia, Texas to the late Richard Junior Perry and Katie Rachel Randolph.
Margie attended elementary and high school in Honey Grove and Bonham, Texas where she graduated and was named valedictorian of her class. She was a cheerleader, played basketball, and ran track.
She moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1961 where she worked for Presbyterian Hospital as a Certified Nurse's Aide. Margie liked nursing as a career, so attended the Presbyterian School of Medicine and earned her LPN degree in 1964.
In 1961, she met a young US Air Force serviceman by the name of Henry Small, and they were married June 16, 1963. Together they traveled to parts of the world that many dream about. She was very happy being a loving wife, mother, (Nana) grandmother, and great grandmother. She retired from Nursing after 41 years in 2005.
She remained very active in church activities, loved singing, and attending services.
Mrs. Small is survived by her spouse of 60 years, Henry E. Small, Jr., 4 brothers, and 2 sisters, 3 sons Brian (Leslie), Kevin (Shonna), Keith (Amee) and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A private Memorial Service for family, friends and associates will be announced.
