Margo Heck, 77, of Guttenberg, passed peacefully into the arms of our Father on Friday, July 25th.

Born on June 14, 1948, in Sioux City, Margo was adopted as an infant by Samuel "Sammy" and Hilda "Babe" Myers and lovingly raised in Guttenberg. She was known for her unwavering faith, candid wisdom, warm spirit, and deep devotion to her family and community.

Margo was a long-time member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and a dedicated supporter of St. Mary's School, contributing to numerous events and initiatives. Her commitment to service extended to her active involvement in the Girl Scouts, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Eagles Auxiliary, where she generously gave her time and energy for many years.

A passionate genealogist, Margo traced her lineage to notable historical figures including Queen Alliquippa and Judge Samuel Sewell. Her greatest joy came from connecting with long-lost family members, and she enthusiastically shared her discoveries, inspiring others to explore their own heritage.

Margo had a fondness for Blooming Branches' Carmel Macchiatos and a deep appreciation for dark chocolate caramels. She was proud of her beliefs and never hesitated to speak her mind. Above all, she was immensely proud of her children and never missed an opportunity to share their accomplishments.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, Vernon Heck; her children Lara Grey, Lisa Futrell, Larry Mann, Valerie Cromer, Sarah Kirkpatrick, Jeff Heck, Sandy Landt, Dianne Schaefer, Dave Heck, Ginny Otto, and Roxie Elsbernd; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and cherished friends. Margo now joins the many loved ones she missed so dearly.
