Marguerite Donlon Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dunn-Givnish Funeral Home on Dec. 12, 2024.
Marguerite Rita Donlon (nee Reilly), affectionately known to those who loved her as "Peggy," passed away peacefully on December 10, 2024 in Newtown, PA. She was 78 years old. Born on April 1, 1946 in Philadelphia, Peggy was the loving daughter of Patrick J. (1952) and Marguerite R. (Rush) Reilly (1974).
Peggy was extremely proud of her Irish heritage, and a woman of great devotion to both her church and her family. After retiring from the Naval Inventory Control Point, Peggy dedicated her life to her children and focused on her grandchildren of whom she was extremely proud. She never passed up an opportunity to dote on the little ones, and could frequently be found engaged in a fun game of cards with them! Peggy was equally loving of her neighbors and community. She was quick to assist anyone in need, in fact, many years back, having had premonitions of danger, she stopped an attack on a jogger while driving to work for which she was publicly recognized.
Her strength, endurance, and love were unwavering and for those reasons, she will be eternally missed and forever loved.
In addition to her parents, Peggy was predeceased by her sister, Patricia K. Reilly in 2019. She is survived by her sons, Gerald (wife, Christine) and Christopher (wife, Doreen), and daughter, Kathleen (ex-husband, Jeff). She was the also the beloved Grammy to Alexa Donlon, Madeline Donlon, Gabriel Donlon, and Branna Callan.
Family and friends are invited to Peggy's Life Celebration on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, from 6:00-7:30pm at Dunn-Givnish Funeral Home, 378 South Bellevue Avenue, Langhorne, PA 19047 and again on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 10:00-11:00am at Our Lady of Grace Church, 225 Bellevue Avenue, Penndel, PA 19047. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00am.
Interment at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne.
