It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Maria De los Angeles Garcia Gonzales De Alanis, who departed this life on September 28th 2025 at the age of 99. Maria lived a long, truly amazing life, leaving behind a profound legacy defined by her endless love, deep compassion, and unwavering generosity of spirit.

Born on June 22nd 1926 in San Antonio, Texas, Maria cultivated a life rooted in faith and family. She possessed an extraordinary capacity for love, which she freely extended to everyone she met. To know Maria was to be immediately embraced by her warmth; she had a special way of making every person feel seen, valued, and utterly cherished.

Maria was the devoted wife of the late Rodolfo Alanis for many wonderful years. Together, they built a home that was a sanctuary for their family and a gathering place for the community.

In the town of Marin, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Maria was a devoted catholic woman, always helping those who needed guidance. Assisting in the church, giving a helping hand to those who needed, and having compassion for her fellow people.

In her journey in life, she became a loving and amazing mother, giving birth to her beautiful daughters, Maria & Blanca.

Her compassion was her guiding star. She possessed a rare ability to listen without judgment, offering strength and empathy to those who needed it most. Maria was not just a mother; she was a fierce protector, a wise counselor, and the heart of her extended family. She often found joy in the simple, beautiful moments of daily life.

She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Carmen Gonzales & Juan Garcia, her siblings Francisco, Agustin & Lucia, and her loving husband Rodolfo.

Her beautiful spirit will live on through her adoring daughters, Maria Antonieta & Blanca Rosa; her adoring grandchildren, Rudy E. Vasquez (Dalia), Cesar I. Vasquez & Jesse J. Vasquez (Amanda); her cherished great-grandchildren Carlos, Marcos, & Chester, and a large circle of extended family.

The family will be receiving guests on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 8:00 am to 11:00 am., where a rosary will be held at 10:00 am. Cremation will be held at a later date.
