Maria Isabel Alvidrez Chacon, a bright light in our lives, was born on February 7, 1965, in California and left us on December 5, 2024. Known affectionately as Mary, she embodied kindness and warmth, traits that endeared her to everyone fortunate enough to cross her path.
Mary's journey in life was rich and full, marked by her deep commitment to family and community. She worked as a pre-school teacher assistant in the vibrant years of the 2010s, where her nurturing spirit touched the lives of countless children. Additionally, she served as a Home Depot sales representative in
Fontana, California, where her uplifting presence made a lasting impact on her colleagues and customers alike.
A devout Catholic, Mary was devoted to her faith, regularly attending St. Louis of France Church, where she assisted her mother, Soledad Alvidrez, as a catechism teacher's aid. She was proud of her education, having completed courses at Mt. SAC towards her associate of arts degree while earning a certificate in child development. Her dedication to learning was evident and reflected in her nurturing nature, especially evident in the lives of her beloved daughters, Jennifer and Amber.
Mary's heart overflowed with love, especially for her family, which also extended to her grandchildren, Fabiana and Jacqueline. In recent years, she found joy in nurturing them, engaging in playful games, and providing care at home. The bond she shared with her daughters was the cornerstone of her life; they were her pride and joy. Her ability to care for them, to support and uplift, defined her existence.
Beyond her role as a mother and grandmother, Mary had a flair for the culinary arts, taking great pride in cooking and baking. Her specialtiesfrom enchiladas to chicken thighs, Mexican rice, and her delightful cupcakes and pineapple upside down cakewere a testament to her love for sharing moments around the dinner table. During the holidays, she lovingly engaged in the cherished tradition of making tamales with Amber and Jared, creating memories steeped in laughter and love.
Mary's zest for life extended into her hobbies; she adored painting, writing, and engaging in arts and crafts. Her spirit found solace in the serenity of the beach, and her unwavering faith guided her through life's trials. She always looked on the bright side and maintained an uplifting spirit, inspiring those around her to do the same.
Mary is survived by her two daughters, Amber and Jennifer, and her siblings, Otilia Russell, Patricia Lotich, Letty Lamotte, Ralph Alvidrez, and David Alvidrez, alongside her brother Reyes Alvidrez. She now joins her beloved late parents, Soledad and Rafael Alvidrez, who watched over her with pride.
Maria Isabel Alvidrez Chacon's legacy of love, strength, and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will forever be remembered not just for her nurturing, but for the indelible mark she left on hearts that enjoyed her warmth and light. Mary truly was the best mother, sister, and friend one could ever hope for, and her spirit will live on in the fond memories and love shared by her family and friends.
