Maria Del Carmen Rodriguez, "Carmen", age 65, from San Antonio went to be with our Lord on Monday, September 25, 2023. She was a graduate of Memorial High School, class of 1976 and proudly served in the United States Navy. Carmen was energetic, sociable and full of life. She loved to sing and have gatherings with family and friends. She would use her talent to perform in local theater shows and musicals. She loved to do karaoke and could be heard from across the room either singing or laughing. Her infectious smile always displayed her dimples, joy for life and could be seen from ear to ear. Carmen had a heart of gold and was always taking care of others before herself. She was someone you could count on to be there every day but especially in your time of need. Carmen's love for her family and friends was displayed in her actions daily. She will be truly missed by all those who were blessed to know and love her.
She is survived by her Father, Fidencio Rodriguez; Sister Esther Adame (Israel); Nephews, Norbert Cerna and Arthur Adame (Kimberly); Nieces, Sandra Adame and Genieve Rodriguez (Edward) and numerous great nephews, nieces and friends.
She was preceded in death by Lydia D. Rodriguez (mother), Norbert C. Cerna (brother), Armando Luis Rodriguez (brother) and Israel Anthony Adame (nephew).
Visitation services will be on Sunday October 1, 2023, from 5pm-8pm at Mission Park North, 3401 Cherry Ridge, San Antonio, TX 78230. Grave side services will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, TX 78209 on Monday October 2, 2023, at 9:30 a.m.
