Maria G Chambers
Maria Guadalupe Chambers, a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, friend and devoted disciple of Jesus Christ, passed away on August 14, 2025, after a long battle with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. She passed away surrounded by loved ones, hearing words of love and comfort until the end.
Maria was born in Ameca, Jalisco, Mexico, to Apolinar Quirarte and Maria de Jesus Barbosa.
Maria earned her bachelor's of Education from the University of Guadalajara and taught as an elementary teacher before moving to the United States. After her marriage and family began in 1977, she fervently orchestrated harmony upon her family as an exceptional homemaker, wife and mother where she created a tapestry of union. Her balance to life regularly centered around the following: serving her family, serving others within her faith, cooking divine meals for others and creating beautiful stones from her lapidary pastime. Together all of these good works she engaged in followed the same positive pattern. Refinement.
Maria's genuine positive and loving personality easily connected her to make life-long friends wherever she went. Known for radiating a spirit of Christlike pleasantness, she brought joy to every gathering and left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Her compassion was characterized by her unwavering desire to serve and uplift those in need. She was a friend to the friendless, healer to the broken hearted and persevered through every trial with calm and quiet strength. She will be dearly missed.
Maria is preceded in death by her mother Maria de Jesus, her father, Apolinar and her brother Benito.
Those left to cherish and honor her memory, her husband of 48 years, Dominick E. Chambers, and her children: Helen Chambers, Anthony Chambers, and his wife Alondra, Jacqueline Eve Morris and her husband Paul, Michellena McPherson and her husband Joe, Veronica Chambers. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 6 Great-grandchildren and Maria's siblings.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and The Roswell Recreation Center.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 am, on August 20, 2025, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, in Roswell.
