En lugares de verdes pastos me hace descansar;

Junto a aguas de reposo me conduce.

Conforta mi alma;

No temeré mal alguno, porque Tú estarás conmigo;

Tu vara y tu cayado me infundirán aliento.

Aderezas mesa delante de mí en presencia de mis angustiadores;

"With deep sorrow in their hearts, the Caro Vesga family announces the passing of María Ana Dolores Vesga de Caro, at the age of 78, on August 23, 2025, in Granbury, Texas.

She was born on September 14, 1946, in Bucaramanga, Colombia, daughter of Isabel Díaz and Hipólito Vesga. She was the wife of the late José Manuel Caro, with whom she shared a life of love and family.

She is survived by her beloved children Claudia Patricia, Nhora Mercedes, Jhael Inés, Zaither Manuel, and Carlos Luis; her sons- and daughters-in-law Adriana, Carlos Alberto, Roberto, and Ana Gabriela; and her grandchildren, who were the light of her days: María Gabriela, Carlos Manuel, Giovanni Manuel, Valeria Sophia, Julio Manuel, Miguel Alberto, Isabella, Anabella, and Emily.

As a devoted mother and head of her family, she always kept generations united through her example of strength and tenderness. She was a woman of great fortitude, determined and courageous; for her, nothing was impossible. She loved sewing, playing the lottery, tending to her plants, praying, and sharing advice on health and well-being. She had the gift of transmitting peace and spirituality to those around her, and her unique laughter lit up every gathering.

María found refuge in her faith, especially in the words of Psalm 23, which now accompany her in eternal rest:

"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He makes me lie down in green pastures.

He leads me beside still waters.

He restores my soul.

He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil, for You are with me;

Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;

You anoint my head with oil, my cup overflows.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,

And I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever."

Her brothers, nieces, nephews, and extended family remember her with love and gratitude for all that she was and all that she meant.

Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and of all those who loved her. Though she is no longer physically with us, her laughter, her advice, and her example of strength will continue to guide our lives."
