Maria DeChristopher Lopez

Maria DeChristopher-Lopez died peacefully on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at her home in New Britain, PA. She was 69 years old.
Maria was the beloved wife of the late Sergio Lopez. The couple had shared 22 years of friendship, love and good memories.
Maria is the daughter of the late Anthony Joseph and Madeline Rita Simone DeChristopher. She is also the sister of the late Carole McNally and Thomas DeChristopher.
Born in Philadelphia, Maria's family moved to Cornwells Heights, PA when she was 11 years old. As a teen, Maria showed a special talent for music and vocal performance. As a young adult, Maria had the opportunity to live in Italy and study opera singing. Maria performed several operas and sang at private events. Her voice was a beautiful gift.
In later adulthood, she settled in the New Britain area. Her work as a healthcare caregiver took her to all parts of Bucks County where she relished caring for others and their families. Many of those she met in her career became life long treasured friends. As Maria became ill, she had the good fortune of being cared for by friends that she met in her career.
Maria will be missed by her sister and brother-in-law, Anne and James Fallon; her sister-in-law, Barbara DeChristopher, and many loving nieces and nephews. She was the best "dog mom" to her beloved Rhodesian Ridgeback, Mario.
Maria's family would like to thank Caring Hospice for the wonderful care and companionship that was provided to both them, and Maria.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet Maria's family on Friday, March 7, 2025 from 10:00am, until the start of her Prayer Service at 11:00am at the Joseph A Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Avenue (at Sandy Ridge Road) in New Britain, PA 18901. Her interment will take place privately.
