Maria C (Codella) Maffucci of Lexington, MA on September 27th 2024, beloved wife of the late Vincent J, Maffucci, loving mother of Michelle Maffucci of Lexington, her partner Brad Fountain, Leo Maffucci, Orlando Maffucci and his fiancee Kristine Marques.
Adoring "Nonni" of Kristina Langill and Luciano Maffucci. Survived by many nieces and nephews, from both Italy and Amercia. As the youngest of 11 she was predeceased by ten brothers and sisters all from italy
Maria grew up in a small town just outside of Avellino, Italy. After getting married in her hometown, Maria embarked on her new life in America. While raising 3 children she also went to school to learn the English language, got her GED, a drivers licence, later went to Minuteman Tech, and spent the majority of her working careers as a nurse's aide.
Her favorite pastimes were cooking for her family, sewing, knitting, baking and gardening. She also liked to read about healthy foods and her favorite Saints.
Her passions in life. Were her family, her faith and her many prayers.
With tremendous love, gratitude and grief, we lay our dear Mother to rest. She will be missed dearly but we will keep her spirit and memories alive by honoring her life daily.
In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Lord Bless our Mother and bring her close to you in heaven, Amen.
Visiting hours will be held at the Douglass Funeral Home 51 Worthen Road. Lexington MA, on Thusday October 3rd from 9:00AM To 10:45AM followed by a Mass Of Christian Burial at Saint Brigid Church 1981 Massachusetts Avenue. Lexington, MA at 11AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers donations in Maria's name may be made to (The Lexington Food Pantry) donations are made by mailing checks to Lexington Interfaith Food Pantry P.O. Box 635 Lexington, MA 02420. Other ways to donate are online at https://www.lexingtonfoodpantry.org/ Please include note that the donation is made in memory of Maria C. Maffucci. Interment Westview Cemetery, Lexington, MA.
