Alan Clark Funeral ServicesMaria Lynette Mitchell, 59, of Balko, Oklahoma died March 2, 2026. Maria was born in Nevada, Missouri on March 17, 1966. She attended Beaver High School. After she graduated, she married that Ole Man that turned out to be the love of her life, Dale Mitchell, on March 24, 1984. They were married forty one years. Maria worked and cooked delicious meals at Bryans Corner Café, 1987-1989.
Then she worked at the Beaver Post Office, not only delivering mail but also delivered Gods word to everyone on her mail route.
She also worked at Balko High School as a sub and helped in the kitchen some and anywhere else that was needed.
Maria enjoyed being around family and also loved her church family. She loved being around those two onery grandsons and spoiled them rotten even when no one was looking. She led hundreds of people to Christ, no matter where she was at or how sick she was. She always gave you the time and never once did she not mention Jesus. I don’t know if she ever enjoyed this as much as she did it, but she did a lot of work on the farm, even when she was told not to. She was always there to help dad. Maria has definitely left her mark and made a huge impact in many lives.
She is preceded in death by John Peery, her twin brother, William Arnold, her brother, Kelly Scism, and her son William Mitchell (Payton’s twin brother).
She is survived by Dale Mitchell, her two sons, Kevin and Payton Mitchell, her daughter, Misty Mitchell, daughters-in-law, Brandi and Marcy “Ruth” Mitchell, her mother, Mary Peery, Sister, Judy Warren, Brothers Hollis and Austin Peery, she always told her brothers she was the “chosen” one. Also, grandkids, Taylor Jordan, Kevin Allen Mitchell, Teaira Jordan and Cooper Mitchell and her “other” son, Shadow and just a few cats, great-grandkids, Konner and Koewyn Mitchell.
