Maria Velia Munoz

Maria Velia Munoz, 70, of Brownfield, TX, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 28, 2025.

Born on February 14, 1955, in Amherst, TX, Maria was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother.

Maria is survived by her children: Maria Isabel Munoz (Jesus Ochoa), Agustin (Sara) Munoz, Celso (Aurelia) Munoz, and Alejandro (Anna) Munoz; 15 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Maricruz Escamilla, and Elizabeth Munoz; and brothers, Benardino Munoz, Jose I. Munoz Jr., Pedro Munoz, and Jesus Munoz.

She was preceded in death by her husband Celso Munoz.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at Agape Funeral Chapel in Lubbock, TX.

Maria will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
