Maria Deases "Mary" Peralez

Our mom, Mary, has earned her passage through the gates of heaven on January 26, 2024. Her fierce faith in God filled her with a heart full of joy and grace. She knew no strangers for she loved unconditionally and wholeheartedly. Her smile was an invitation to all that was good. Her love for life and others illuminated the darkest of spaces. She had a spirit that lifted others to higher places. Knowing her meant loving her. Her happiness was evident as she was always spreading cheer and words of encouragement. Mom enjoyed a good laugh and had a playful character. She sustained beautiful relationships throughout her life because she truly cared about everyone. By God's grace, she knew real love she taught it well. She will always be the light in our darkness because we have no doubt she will be in the presence of our mighty God.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Estivan "Steve" Juan Peralez; father, Eustaquio Deases; mother, Santos DeAse; sisters, Jesusa Garcia and Frances Gaona; brother, Joe Deases; and her great-granddaughter, Kylie Jade Flores.
Among those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Elida Alaniz; children, Sonya (Ernest Garcia) Peralez, Audy (Sandy Lash) Peralez, Vanessa (Jim Gutierrez) Alvarez, Jessica (Juan) Delagarza, Nan (Michael) Rosas, and Steve Peralez, Jr.; grandchildren, Jordan Lynn, Audy ( Jennifer Donaldson) Peralez, Jr., Paige Lash, Michael Lash, Jeffrey Lash, Kandra Lash, Shawn Alvarez, Joseph Flores, Jonathan Flores, Jordan Flores, Joshua Flores, John Garcia, Jr., Brooke Garcia, Kole Rosas, Kody Rosas, Michael Rosas, II, Michael Rosas, Jr., and Alyssa Rosas; and numerous great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and extended family.
Maria's family will receive condolences on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port Ave., from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM; with a Celebration of Life to begin at 12:00 PM. Rite of Committal and Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery at 3:00 PM.
