Maria B Ramirez

MARIA B. RAMIREZ, age 62, of Worthington, died Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD. She was born September 27, 1963, in Guanajuato, Mexico, to Trinidad and Silveria (Garcia) Espitia.
Maria married Ramon Ramirez on December 1, 1982, in Mexico. The couple moved to Worthington and raised their family.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, in Worthington. Religion was very important to Maria. She dedicated her life to her faith. She enjoyed drawing, dancing, singing, and her grandchildren.
Maria is survived by her two daughters, Guadalupe (Mario Gonzalez) Ramirez, Worthington; and Anna (Zachary) Steiner, Jackson; four grandchildren, Scarlett Montserrat Steiner, Axel Isaac Ramirez, Kyra Guadalupe Gonzalez and Karim Ramon Gonzalez Ramirez; one on the way, Adelina Marie; and five siblings, Guillermo, Trinidad, Olga, Martha and Gabby Espitia all of Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Ramon on July 31, 2024.
Maria's final act of kindness was to give the gift of sight through organ and tissue donation.
Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Monday, Nov. 3 at the Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington; visitation also from noon to 1 pm at St. Mary Catholic Church in Worthington. Funeral Mass will be 1 pm Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, in Worthington, officiated by Fr. Raul Silva. Burial will be in the St. Mary Cemetery in Worthington.
