Maria-Renee L. Piccione

Maria-Renee L. Piccione, age 87, of Branford, entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 24, 2025, at Bridgeport Hospital. She was the cherished wife of the late Patricio E. Piccione. Born on January 27, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Carlos Laborderie and Fresia Marchant (Olave) Becerra. Renee made her home in Branford for more than thirty years and previously raised her children in Guilford.

In her earlier career, she served as Deputy Director for two social work agencies in New Haven, and later transitioned into the retail industry, where she worked as a Department Supervisor until her retirement. A talented and devoted quilter, Renee created beautiful quilts that she lovingly gifted to family and friends. She held a deep appreciation for animals and nature and took great joy in caring for the wildlife that visited her yard. Known for her green thumb, she nurtured plants with patience and care, helping them thrive.

Renee is survived by her beloved children, Patricio A. Piccione and his wife Nancy, Alejandro M. Piccione, and Renee Pacewicz and her husband Robert Pacewicz. She also leaves behind three cherished grandchildren.
