Maria Franco Solis

Maria Franco Solis, of La Coste/Lytle, Texas, passed away November 26, 2025 at the age of 101. She was born September 20, 1924 in La Coste, Texas, to Julio Solis and Francisca Franco Solis.

Maria was a loving daughter and aunt. She was employed in the sewing department at Finesilver Manufacturing Company, a clothing manufacturer in San Antonio, Texas. After nineteen years, she then dedicated her time to caring for her parents at home, until they each passed away. She also helped care for her niece and nephews while their parents worked. She was like a 'second mother' to them. Maria always had her doors opened and welcomed others. In 2006, she moved to Lytle, Texas, where she was pampered like a "baby girl". She lived a well-deserved life where her needs were catered to, and she was lovingly cared for.

Survivors include her niece and nephews, Delia Frias, Leo B. Frias, and Sam J. Frias; great-nieces, Erika N. Mainez (Devin), Cambrae Alvarez (Adam); great-nephew, Ruben Perez (Georgina); great-great-nephews, Aiden M. Balderrama (Ariana), Zacharee E. Perez, Devin M. Mainez, Jr., and Aydien A. Carrera; great-great-nieces, Madison A. Prather, Romana S. Perez, K'Lynn J. Perez, Laela R. Mainez, Arriana V. Cadenas, and Aniah J. Cadenas, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Barbarito Solis and Jose Solis; sisters, Norberta Gomez, Consuelo Botello, Romana "Mona" Frias, Cruz Solis, and Claudia Hinojosa; and nephew, Ray R. Frias; and other family members.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 7, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. Inurnment will be held at 10 am on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Cemetery in La Coste, Texas.
