Obituary of Maria Szczerba-March 26, 1932-April 9, 2025
Maria Szczerba, age 93, of Southampton Pennsylvania passed away peacefully at Neshaminy Manor in Warrington Pennsylvania on Wednesday April 9, 2025.
Maria was an avid church goer and joined the weekly pierogi making group which was a fundraiser for the church. She was a woman with many interests-gardening, baking and knitting which gave her great pleasure. Maria is known for her sharp mind, keen memory and extensive knowledge of family history. She had a deep devotion to family and friends but nothing gave her more pleasure than spending time with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
Maria was predeceased by her husband Peter Szczerba in 1979. She is survived by two daughters, Eugenia (Anthony) and Mary (Arthur). She was the beloved grandmother of Natalie (Alexander), Aleksandra (Alek) and Michelle (Daniel). She also leaves behind her loving great grandchildren, Olivia, Theo and Liliya.
A celebration of Maria's life will take place at St. Andrew's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 141 Sarah Wells Trail, Campbell Hall, New York 10916 starting at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. A Catholic mass will begin at 11:00 A.M. and the burial will follow at Holy Spirit cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Neshaminy Manor Home Welfare Fund at Neshaminy Manor, 1660 Easton Road, Warrington Pa 18976.
