Maria Taborda Obituary

She moved to New York City at the age of 24 where she continued her education attaining a Master's degree in education. Maria taught English as a second language to kindergarteners at PS85 in Astoria, Queens, NY for over twenty years.
Maria was a devout Catholic. She loved international travel and learning about various cultures.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Antonio Mena, and her sister Zulema Mena Fassi.
Maria is survived by family residing in Delaware. Her son, Henry Taborda, his wife April, and their sons, Gabriel and Jax. Granddaughter, Monica Irizarry and her daughters, Audriana, Zoey, and Nova.
She also leaves a host of friends and family.
