Maria Taylor Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 1, 2025.
Maria Lynn Taylor, 60, a resident of Mill Creek, passed from this life Thursday, July 24, 2025, at home surrounded by family and under the care West Virginia Caring.
Maria was born Saturday, January 2, 1965, in Elkins, a daughter of the late John Taylor and Pauline Cutright Taylor. Surviving at home is her companion of twenty-one years, Bob Kirk.
Also left to cherish her memory are two children, Jennifer Martin and husband Brad of Mill Creek, Alan Taylor Jr. and companion Shannon Nunley of Mill Creek, seven grandchildren, Salena, Tiana, Kelsey, Riley Martin, Ava, Liam Taylor, Kali Plum, one great-grandson, Lawson Arbogast, siblings, Donald Taylor and companion Helen Reid of Elkins, Arnold Taylor and companion Pam Henline of Dailey, Randy Taylor of Elkins, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceding her in death besides her parents was one daughter, Jamie Taylor, and the father of her children, Alan Taylor Sr.
Maria attended the schools of Randolph County and obtained her GED. She was a dedicated homemaker. She enjoyed crafting and playing mystery games on her phone. Maria was just getting into flower gardening; she was so excited to see what would grow from the seeds she just planted. Above all, she adored her grandchildren and loved to spoil them. For the last nine years, Maria took pride and joy raising her granddaughter Ava as her own.
Maria's request for cremation will be honored and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
