Age 86, of Highland Park, on Saturday, September 23, 2023, Mrs. Scolieri was the beloved wife of the late Agostino Scolieri; mother of Giovanni Scolieri (Doris), Vittoria DelVaglio (Tony); daughter of the late Nicola and Anna Ionadi Greco; sister of Rose DiStilo (Antonio), Dominic Greco (Rosaleah); grandmother of Giovanni James Scolieri, Nicole Probst (Jonathan), Maria Taylor (Derek); great-grandmother of Isabella, Vincent, Anna, Gianna, Daniella; also survived by nieces and nephews. Theresa will be long remembered for her giving nature. Along with her sister, cousins, comares, paesani from Maierato, Calabria, Italy to Toronto, Canada the cookie table (or room) shall continue on: From pizzelles, biscotti, pignoli, Italian wedding cookies, peaches, angineti, sfogliatelle, amaretti, pasticciotti, swans, and so on; from rum cakes for the Chariot Restaurant (Highland Park) to respectfully challenging and questioning breakdown ingredients from Moio’s Bakery…

 

Celebrate Mrs. Scolieri’s life with her family on Sunday from 2-7 PM at PERMAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., Shaler Twp. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Raphael Church on Monday at 10 AM. The family respectfully suggests donations be made to Alzheimer’s Association: Greater Pittsburgh Chapter, 2835 E Carson St., Ste 200, Pittsburgh PA 15203.
