Marian C. Copple, a devoted mother, grandmother, friend, and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025, at the age of 83.
Born in Philadelphia, Marian was the beloved daughter of the late Norman Geist and Clara Geist (née Easterday). She was predeceased by her loving husband, Daniel A. Copple, and her son, Christopher W. Copple.
Marian was a woman of deep faith and strong community spirit. She was involved in her church and her senior center, always ready to lend a hand, share a kind word, or participate in events, especially those involving her grandchildren. She loved history and politics, enjoyed following the Philadelphia Eagles, and embraced life’s small pleasures, from practicing tai chi to sharing a meal at her favorite diners. Marian also enjoyed attending local community events and historical sites.
Family was at the heart of Marian’s life. She was a proud, loving, and attentive grandmother who cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren—celebrating their milestones and supporting them in school, church, and all aspects of life. One of her greatest joys and proudest milestones was becoming a “GG,” a great-grandmother, a role she embraced with boundless love and delight. She also adored her pets, who brought her great comfort and companionship throughout the years.
Marian is survived by her daughters, Diana L. Stinson (Michael) and Melanie A. Hoffman; her grandchildren, Kelsey Singh (Gurpreet), Jessica Shannon (Jeremy), Elise, Laura, and Rebecca Hoffman, and Stephanie and Christopher Stinson; as well as her great-grandchild, Rohan Singh.
Marian’s life was a testament to love, devotion, and joy. Her warmth, humor, and unwavering spirit will leave a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Family and friends are invited to Marian’s viewing on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Knoetgen-Donohue Funeral Home, 746 Kedron Avenue, Morton, PA 19070, followed by her funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Edgewood Memorial Park.
