Marian D. Evans, a lover of all dogs, police officers, first responders, and military personnel, passed away on January 3, 2026.
She was born in Boise, Idaho, on May 26, 1947, and was adopted at birth by Lila M. Wade and David V. Evans. Marian’s parents divorced when she was a small child. After the divorce, Marian and her mother went to live with her grandparents in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho. She loved her mother and her grandmother deeply.
Marian retired from Hill Air Force Base after 35 years of service working in contracting. Her love of dogs led her to volunteer in therapy work with her adorable dog, Toby, where she made many friends. She also volunteered at the Ogden City Police Department. Marian was one of the initial members of the VIP (Volunteers in Policing) program and spent several years doing clerical work there, where her dedication and hard work were greatly appreciated.
Marian will be remembered for her unique sense of humor, her sassy nature, and for living life entirely on her own terms.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no formal services. Interment will take place at a later date at Mountain View Cemetery in Pocatello, Idaho.
