Douglas Lee Evans, age 61, of Fairmount, Georgia, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2026 at his home. He was born November 11, 1964 to Robert and Faye Evans in Jasper, Georgia.
Doug is survived by his wife, Donna Davis Evans of Fairmount; daughters and sons-in-law, Whitney and Cody Patterson of Fairmount, Kristen Johnson and Dwayne Elvey of Fairmount; grandchildren, Will Patterson of Fairmount, Emma Johnson of Fairmount, Julia Patterson of Fairmount, Bella Johnson of Fairmount, Evan Elvey of Fairmount; sister, Becky Patterson of Fairmount; aunt and uncle, Martha and John McAfee of Fairmount; aunt, Ollie Dobbs of Canton; uncle, Elmer Evans of Woodstock; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Debbie and Allen Hill of Jasper, Sondra Fountain of Jasper. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
He was preceded in death by parents, Robert and Faye Evans.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 9, 2026 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Sharptop Baptist Church Cemetery at 2010 Grandview Road, Jasper, Georgia 30143.
The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Sunday, February 8, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Monday, February 9, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
The family will accept flowers or you may make memorial donations to Sharptop Baptist Church.
