Marian Marie Goodwin

Marian Marie Goodwin, 61, of Tarboro, North Carolina, passed away tragically on January 2, 2026. Born on September 16, 1964, in Tampa, Florida, Marian lived a full and spirited life defined by strength, humor, and boundless love for her family.

A proud graduate of Tarboro High School, Marian built a meaningful life marked by important achievements, like welcoming her beloved son, Brandon Casper, later cherishing the role of grandmother to Audrey, Preslee, and Milo, and being a devoted wife to her husband Harley "Wes" Goodwin. Professionally, she was a committed and respected supervisor at Murdock Webbing, where her leadership and integrity earned the admiration of all who worked with her.

Marian's defining traits were her generosity, sharp wit, and determination. She would lend a hand to anyone in need, often brightening tough moments with laughter. Though she wasn't fond of having her picture taken, her presence always lit up a room. She loved the Kansas City Chiefs with unmatched loyalty, enjoyed crafting holiday gifts just to spread joy, and never passed up a visit to the beach.

She is survived by her husband Harley Goodwin, son Brandon Casper, grandchildren Audrey Casper, Preslee Casper, Milo Casper, Mother Delories Overstreet, sisters Cindy Bates and Linda Lopez, brothers Tony Casper and Steve Whitley, and her Maggie Lou.

Proceeded in death by father's David Whitley and Marion Casper.

A private family memorial will be held in her honor. Marian's strength, humor, and love will be remembered always by those who were fortunate to know her.
