Marian Carrie Kamyszek, 92, of Alpena passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Medilodge – Alpena.
Marian Carrie Ciupka was born in Alpena County on November 15, 1932, to the late Joseph and Sophia (Tarshinski) Ciupka. On October 28, 1950, she married Norman Kamyszek. He preceded her in death on June 6, 1993. She was a member of All Saints Parish. Marian enjoyed the Detroit Tigers, crocheting, but most importantly she loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Surviving are 7 children, Pat (Dave) Kasubowski, Jeanette Johnson, Karen (John) Jones, Michael (Tammy) Kamyszek, Cindy (Thomas) Lucas, Jim (Kerrie) Kamyszek, Brian (Peggy) Kamyszek; daughter-in-law, Karen Kamyszek; 19 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Dolores Green, Rose Kamyszek, Robert (Darlene) Ciupka; several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Kamyszek was preceded in death by son, Dennis Kamyszek; son-in-law, Louie Johnson, grandson, Connor Kasubowski; siblings, Eugene Ciupka, Virginia Suszek; and special friend, Martin Anderson.
Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. with a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday at St. Anne Church of All Saints Parish from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Rev. Tyler Bischoff officiating.
Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery
