It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Marian Lucielle Barr Laffery, age 85, passed away at Riverside Hospital March 23, 2026. Born on October 6, 1940. Preceded in death by her parents Homer Jackson Barr and Alfredia Elizabeth Croll Barr, sister-in-law Sue Maize Barr.
Marian is survived by her husband, Frank Taylor Lafferty, her son Frank (Sheila) Lafferty and her grandchildren Frank, Corey (Amy); Gabrielle Lafferty, great granddaughter Autumn Grace Lafferty. She is also survived by her brothers Roy (Carol) Barr, Jack Barr, and sister Jacqueline (Jeff) Lucas; brother Paul (Teresa) Barr and nieces and nephews. She is further survived by great nieces and nephews.
Marian graduated from Linden McKinley high school. Retired from Timpken Company, The Limited, and the Orton Foundation. Marian had many coworker friends and baked many cakes for family celebrations. She loved to get a great bargain even if it were 20 miles across town to save fifty cents. Also, she had a knack for always having sweet and salty treats and an occasional dirty joke with a good laugh. We all love and will miss that enthusiasm of her.
A private burial will be held.
