Marian Ruth Mansfield (née Shefky), age 97, of Marinette, Wi, passed away on
February 23, 2024. Marian was born August 5, 1926, in Marinette. She
married the love of her life, Frank (Bud) Mansfield, in1954. She was a faithful
member at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Peshtigo before retiring and moving
to California to manage motels with her husband. Later, they resided in Las
Vegas, and also in Tennessee to be close to their daughter, Tricia, and
family. Bud and Marian ultimately returned to her hometown area for the
last years of her life.
Aside from her lifelong devotion to the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago
Cubs, Marian had a passion for playing bridge and reading, which she enjoyed
until her eyesight declined. Known for her generosity, Marian's love language
was giving gifts. She cherished her family, often hosting them and friends in
her home.
Marian is survived by her 4 children, Pam(Scott), Mike(Michelle) Tricia(Joel)
and Mark, her sister Bette, 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and many
nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank and
sister Joyce.
A Visitation will be held at Thielen Funeral Home on Saturday, March 23rd from 10-11am. A service to honor Marian's life will be held at 11:00 am. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
