Marian T. Partridge, age 96, of Bergen, passed away peacefully at home on June 17, 2025.

She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Partridge; her sister and brother-in-law, Helen (Lewis) Partridge and her sister-in-law, Joyce Glazier.

She is survived by her children, Bruce (Sandra) Partridge of Bergen and Jan (Richard Godlove) Kent of Byron; grandchildren, Joshua (Heather) Kent of Byron, Amber (Jason) Tomlin of Weatherford, Texas, Michael (Chantal) Partridge of Irondequoit and Seth (Lauren) Kent of Stafford; seven great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Richard Glazier of Byron, many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Marian was born July 26, 1928 in Batavia to Charles and Florence Leanen Thornell. She was a graduate of South Byron High School (1946) and a college graduate of Buffalo State College (1951). She retired from teaching home economics at Byron Bergen Central School in 1983.

She was active in many organizations including: Bergen United Methodist Church, NYS and Genesee County Retired Teachers Association, Delta Kappa Gamma, Phi Upsilon Omicron, Women Educators Service Organization, Republican Committee of Bergen, Bergen Business & Civic Association, Bergen Village Planning Board, Genesee County Fair Judge and Bergen Triangle Club.

Friends may call on Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 11 am to 1 pm at the Bergen Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 38 South Lake Avenue, Bergen. Her funeral service will immediately follow visitation at 1 pm at church. She will be laid to rest in Mount Rest Cemetery, Bergen. Memorials may be made to Bergen United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 216, Bergen, New York 14416 or Volunteers for Animals, P.O. Box 1621, Batavia, New York 14021.
