Lee G. Ezzell

Lee (Bud) Ezzell, born September 23, 1954, in Batavia, New York, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness, on December 25, 2024, at the age of 70.

Lee served five years in the United States Coast Guard as an Electrician's Mate, earning an honorable discharge. His dedication and service were recognized with the Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon, the Marksmanship Award Ribbon, and the Good Conduct Award.

After his military service, Lee worked as an electrician on nuclear submarines in Groton, Connecticut. Over the years, he also held numerous electrical maintenance positions and taught electronics at BOCES in Batavia.

Lee had a lifelong passion for mechanics and speed, becoming an accomplished snowmobile racer. He loved working on small engines, spending countless hours in the garage. His love of animals, especially cats, was well known and reflected his gentle, patient nature.

Lee also enjoyed local and online auctions, always looking for good deals, especially tools and snowmobile parts.

He is survived by his children, Devin Ezzell, Katherine Ezzell, and Michelle Ezzell, and his grandchildren, Kalob and Kyler. Sisters Jackie Ezzell Savluk (Garret) Wilmington MA, Aimee Chapell (Tom) Byron NY, brothers Rene' Ezzell (Kelly) Bergen NY, Greg Ezzell (Theresa) Lake Kiowa TX. and many nieces and nephews

Lee will be laid to rest with military honors at the National Cemetery in Corfu, New York.
