Marianne Pitale (Nee: Comegno) passed away on Wednesday in Cambridge of Moorestown at the age of 95. Marrianne lived for a brief time in Hammonton before becoming a Burlington resident for most of her life. She was a devoted, caring and generous wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. Marianne took great pride in her family and sacrificed for them. She worked for a brief time before she happily became the family Matriarch. She cherished making her homemade meatballs for family dinners and entertaining for the holidays. When she was younger, she was fortunate to take voice lessons, which led to a lifelong passion of music. She loved to sing and was part of a "Big Band" which also led to her love of dancing. Marianne along with her husband Anthony enjoyed dancing and attended local dances with friends. She was a member of the Burlington Entertainer's and performed for many years. A devoted member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, she attended mass regularly and when time allowed, she liked to play cards. She was a Burlington resident until 2017 when she moved into the Lutheran Home in Moorestown. She will be forever loved and remembered by her family and now she is joined in eternal rest with her beloved husband, parents and siblings.

Daughter of the late Antonio Comegno and Pasqualina Simone Comegno, sister of the late: Charles Comegno, Rose Borkowski, Mary Borkowski and Josephine Marian. She was honored to be the wife of the late Anthony William "Pit" Pitale of 57 years. She leaves to cherish her memory their children: Anthony W., Jr. and wife Nancy Pitale of Pitman, Thomas Pitale of Burlington, Maria and husband Albert Sampson of Edgewater Park; a grandson Christian Pitale and his wife Lisa and great-granddaughter Rose. The family invites friends to her visitation and Mass of Christian Burial in St. Paul's RC Church (St. Katharine Drexel Parish), 223 E. Union Street, Burlington on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. Visitation will be from 10-10:50 A.M. with Mass beginning at 11 A.M. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Jacksonville Road, Burlington.
