Marianne Elizabeth Schmidt

Marianne Elizabeth Schmidt (née Zeinert), age 40, of Plymouth, WI, formerly of San Antonio, TX, passed away on April 6, 2025. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and learning.
She was born January 26, 1985, in San Antonio, TX and grew up in the nearby small town of Macdona. She graduated from Southwest High School in 2003 and earned her Bachelor's degree from Texas Lutheran University in 2006 with major studies in history and theology.
Marianne married Todd Schmidt on March 10, 2012. She dedicated her career to education, museums, and community life-working with Frontier Times Museum in Bandera, Witte Museum in San Antonio, Bernina, USA in San Antonio, Natalia ISD, Community Learning Center in Port Washington, WI, and Quilting Legacies in Fond du Lac.
Her hobbies included quilting, genealogy, history, and decorating her home. She loved Broadway musicals and reading. As a dedicated member of the Lutheran Church, Marianne's faith was a cornerstone of her life, most recently at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Plymouth.
Marianne is survived by her husband, Todd, and their children: Truitt, Louisa, and Robert; her mother, Gladys Zeinert; her brother, Patrick (Nicole) Zeinert of Fort Worth, TX; her in-laws, Fred and LuAnn Schmidt of Fond du Lac, WI; and her brother-in-law, Jim (Holly) Schmidt of Eden, WI.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Zeinert, and her grandparents Wilburn and Barbara (Bethke) Stall of Cuero, and Frank and Helen (Hawes) Zeinert of Macdona. She is further survived by many other friends and relatives.
A celebration of Marianne's life will be held Friday, April 18, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Ander (Goliad), TX, with Pastor Anne Kolmeier. A celebration at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Plymouth, WI, will be held Saturday, April 26th at 11:00 AM with Pastor Sara Gorman.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice in Marianne's honor.
