Marianne Scripter Obituary
She was born on Dec. 14, 1936, in Goodland to the late Marion and Mercedes (Stombaugh) Miiller. On Oct. 1, 1955, she married A. Jack Scripter in Goodland. He preceded her in death.
She was a 1954 graduate of Goodland High School and went on to work at and retired from Heckman Bindery. She was an active participant at White County Council on Aging where she liked to play Bingo and have the occasional lunch. Marianne enjoyed reading and jigsaw puzzles. She cherished her family and spending time with them.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church.
She is survived by son, Perry (Chris) Scripter, South Bend; son-in-law, Larry Sterrett, Burkesville, Ky.; grandchildren, Jared (Angie) Sterrett, Buffalo, Craig (Emily) Sterrett, West Moreland, Tenn., Ryan Scripter, Kingsland, Ga., Daniel Scripter (Marie Queen), Indianapolis; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jack; daughter, Pamela J. Sterrett; grandchildren, Stacie, Traci and Benjamin Sterrett; and sisters, Doris Lowry and Genevieve Deno.
Visitation will be Friday, April 4 from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church. Rosary will be prayed at 12:30 p.m. followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 1 p.m. with Father Dan Duff the Celebrant.
Burial will be in Remington Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are encouraged to Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the church.
