Marie Frances Buchman

Marie Frances Buchman, age 89, lifelong resident of the Mayfair section of Philadelphia, passed peacefully on October 3, 2025.

Marie was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1936 to Ruth (nee' Snyder) and Harry Dietz. Marie was one of four siblings, including Harry, Ruth and Florence. She began working at age 16 to help support her family and spent her entire 46-year career with the Royal Insurance Company of Philadelphia.

Marie was an avid reader and enjoyed making ceramic crafts. Her and her husband enjoyed their visits to North Wildwood and the Pocono Mountains. She was an avid dog lover who shared her home and love over the years with her three beloved dogs, Randy, Mitzi and Callie. Most of all, Marie was known for always helping and supporting her family and friends, and she had a great love for her daughter, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marie is survived by her beloved daughter, Joanne Cannon and her husband Matthew Cannon of Delran, NJ, and by her dear grandchildren, Jenna Rae Cannon (Jeana Bradley), Lyndsey Leah Torre (Steve Torre) and Kerrie Lynn Cannon. Also surviving are her loving great-grandchildren, Cameron and Tatum Torre. Marie was predeceased by loving husband, William J. Buchman, her parents Ruth and Harry Deitz, and by her siblings, Harry, Ruth and Florence.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with her family on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM, and to attend her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM, all at Resurrection Parish, Holy Name Church, 260 Conrow Road, Delran, NJ 08077.
