Marie Dower Obituary
Marie (Burke) Dower, 90 years old, formally of Rockland MA passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026 at Bay Path Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Duxbury MA. She was born on March 29, 1935, in South Boston, MA. She was the daughter of the late Joseph & Mary Burke and sister of the late Joseph & Leo Burke.
Marie was predeceased by her devoted husband Robert Dower and her children Timothy Dower and Kathleen Cogan. She is survived by her daughter in law, Lisa Dower, her treasured grandsons Ryan Dower and his wife Kendra, and Tyler Dower. Her five great-grandchildren – Aiden Maio, Carter, Mason, Elaina and Hadley Dower who were the light of her life, bringing love, joy, and laughter to her days.
Family was everything to Marie and she cherished the time spent with loved ones including the annual clam boils put on by Tim, Ryan, and Tyler. Marie also enjoyed her visits to Castle Island, where she would indulge in her favorite Sullivan's lobster roll, a simple pleasure she looked forward to.
A grave side service celebrating Marie's life will be held on March 20, 2026, at 11:00 am, at Holy Family Cemetery, 92 Centre Ave, Rockland, MA 02370. Family and friends are invited to honor Marie's memory.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at Bay Path Rehabilitation & Nursing Center for their compassionate care and support during Marie's final days. Your kindness and dedication will always be remembered fondly.
