Marie A. Farrell, 87, of Carbondale, died Monday May 19th at the Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Peter and Claire Baldere Noto, she was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, Carbondale. She was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School, Class of 1955, and she attended the Lackawanna County Vocational Technical School. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a legal secretary for Attorney Jeffrey Levine. She was a loving mother and grandmother who was always there for her family.
Surviving are two daughters: Ann Farrell and companion James Moran, Lehigh Acres, FL; Tricia Fortuner and husband James, Carbondale; two sons: William Farrell and wife Patricia, Nicholson; Eric Farrell and wife Christine, Carbondale; 8 grandchildren: Keva; Andrew; Seth; Amanda; Bobby; Tad; Jordan; Jake; 11 great grandchildren; a brother: Peter Noto and wife Sally, Scranton; and several nieces and nephews
She was also preceded in death by a daughter: Christine Farrell.
The funeral will be Friday May 23rd from the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home, Inc., 55 Lincoln Avenue, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Saint Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill. Friends may call Thursday, from 4 to 7 pm.
