Marie Christine Gottstein

Marie Christine Gottstein, of Independence, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. She was 73 years old. Marie was born to Louis and Cora (Brownell) Albert on February 20, 1951 in Omaha, Nebraska. 

Marie was a graduate of Omaha South High School in the class of 1969. Marie had a passion for art which she shared as a freelance artist throughout her life. Her creative spirit shone brightly in everything she did. She also had a love for nature, animals, history, and music. A devoted collector of owls, bears, and angels, Marie found joy in the beauty of these creatures. Her green thumb was evident in the flourishing plants that filled her home. Marie was also a strong woman of faith and a beacon of strength to all who knew her. She has left behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, selflessness, and optimism that will continue to inspire all those who were touched by her presence.

Marie is survived by her beloved daughter and best friend, Heidi Gottstein; and son, Dustin Gottstein.

Marie will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her spirit continue to live on through the memories she has created and the love she shared with those around her.
