Marie Patricia “Patsy” Jones, age 76, of King of Prussia, PA, passed away on November 17, 2025. Born in West Philadelphia, PA, she was the beloved daughter of the late Catherine Marie (nee McCarthy) and Samuel W. Jones Jr.
A devoted and respected figure within the law enforcement community for over forty years, she served as a Police Training Coordinator for the FBI Department of Justice, where her contributions were marked by her unyielding dedication and commitment to fostering excellence in policing.
Patsy's illustrious career was characterized by her passion for public service and her remarkable ability to mentor countless individuals who sought to serve their communities with honor and integrity. Her expertise and compassion transcended the role of a mere coordinator; she was a beacon of guidance and inspiration for many who aspired to navigate the complexities of law enforcement.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Patsy treasured her personal interests, embracing the fine art of photography, indulging in the pages of captivating novels, and finding comfort in the charm of British television shows. In quieter moments, she delighted in watching QVC, allowing her to explore new trends and curiosities from the comfort of her home.
Patsy was the loving sister of Catherine Ellis; adoring aunt of Catherine Pezzano (Michael), Frederick Ellis (Suzanne), and Christopher Ellis (Lynda); caring great aunt of Alyssa Ellis, Eric Henderson, Mia Pezzano, Michael Pezzano, Zachary Ellis, Benjamin Ellis, and Nicholas Ellis.
Family and friends are invited to Patsy’s Viewing 10:00-11:00 AM on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082, followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Patsy’s name to the ASPCA, ASPCA.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">ASPCA.org/donate, would be appreciated.
