Francis Anthony “Frank” Gansz, age 92, passed away on November 4, 2025. Frank was born in Philadelphia, PA, to Frank A. Gansz and Catherine Bernard Gansz and later became a stepson to Mildred Gansz (nee Weber). Frank was a proud graduate of Penn State University. He served his country in the Army during the Korean War. After retiring from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation as a landscape roadside specialist, he worked at All Seasons Landscaping. He lived in Lansdowne for 65 years with his late wife Doris Anne Gansz (nee Hurnyak).
Frank was the beloved brother of Elaine Ritchie (John) and Connie Underwood; loving father of Susan Elaine Gansz O’Brien (Rich) and Stephen Anthony Gansz (Lisa Marie); adoring grandfather of Sean Francis O’Brien (fiancé Erica), Melissa Gansz, and Kelsey Anne O’Brien (fiancé Matt); caring great-grandfather of Brandon Shaw. Predeceased by his son, David Francis Gansz.
In addition to his family, Frank loved all animals, especially his many pet dogs and cats. He also loved hunting, fishing, and just enjoying the outdoors in the Pennsylvania Mountains as well as the New Jersey shore. Frank had a unique personality and sense of humor that will be missed by all that knew him.
