It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Marie McCune on April 10, 2025. Marie was kind, generous, and loved a good laugh; she will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Marie is survived by her husband, John McCune, whom she enjoyed a beautiful marriage and life with for over 65 years. Marie was a proud mother to her sons, Matthew, John (Maureen), and Steven (Kathy). She was a loving, involved grandmother to Meredith, Michael (Vittoria), Christopher (Kate), Andrew (Caity), Megan, Kathryn, Thomas, Raymond, John, and Ava. Marie loved her 9 great grandchildren Barrett, Ryleigh, Callie, Kasen, Lane, Kinsley, Matilda, Grady, and Waylon, who brought immense joy to her life.
She is survived by her sister Annette (dec. John), her brother Gabriel, her sister-in-law Margie, and family. She shared many wonderful years growing up with her siblings in the Bronx before they all eventually settled down in Rockland County, NY.
Marie was at her happiest when surrounded by her family. She was beyond proud of the life she built with the love of her life, John, and felt so blessed to watch her family grow through her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Marie will be fondly remembered by those who knew her. In moments of laughter, storytelling, and family gatherings she will always be with us. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Marie, please visit our Tree Store.
