Marie S. Mroczek, 76, of Harrisville, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2025 at her home.
Born September 10, 1948 to Richard H. and Helen E. (McCann) Scales in Everett, Washington, she was raised in Lynwood, Washington. She worked as an accountant, and retired to Harrisville in 2011. Her sense of wanderlust led her all over the country with her husband of 61 years, Dennis. Marie loved tending to her garden, and was twice awarded Harrisville’s “Green Thumb Award”. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and painting.
Marie is survived by her husband, Dennis, three children, Dennis S. Mroczek of Steilacoom, WA, Andrew D. (Kris) Mroczek of Seattle, WA, and Krisha Mroczek-Salmon of Tawas City, MI, two grandchildren, John F. Salmon IV, and Anna M. Salmon, three brothers, Richard, Bill, and Eugene Scales, as well as her sister-in-law, Valorie Bakker of Harrisville. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Agnes Strausser and Margaret Miller.
Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
