Marie D'Amico Pagnotti, 97, of Branford, wife of the late Ralph Pagnotti, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2024 at The Guilford House. Beloved mother of Debra (Stephen J.) Russo of Branford. Grandmother of Stephen (Sue Hanson) Russo Jr. and Matthew (Heather) Russo. Great-grandmother of Olivia, Fiona and Maxwell Russo. Sister of Ann Tirozzi and the late Linda Geremia, Carmel "Bonnie" Maffeo, Catherine Visconti, and Rocco and Joseph D'Amico. Marie also leaves many nieces and nephews to which she was very close. Marie was born in New Haven on December 4, 1926 daughter of the late Antonio and Maria Santamauro D'Amico. Prior to her retirement, Marie was a seamstress for Lee Beachwear, and she made costumes for Dorothy's Dance Studio.
Family and friends are invited to go DIRECTLY to St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at St. Bernadette Church THURSDAY morning to celebrate A Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. THERE WILL BE NO CALLING HOURS. Arrangements are in care of the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org. Sign Marie's guestbook online at www.portofuneralhomes.net.

Debbie & Family my deepest and dearest Condolences Memories of childhood at family gatherings still imbedded and in my mind. The phase that stands out the most. Aunt Marie would say " Go out and play Honey" with a big joyous Smile and laughter. My the family find such beautiful memories and happiness in the life of Aunt Marie.

Marie worked with my aunt, Alice Hopkins at Lee Beach Wear. She always spoke very kindly of her. I remember meeting her when I was a young girl. Your mom was so beautiful. I am sorry for your loss but happy to hear she lived a long life.

Dear Deb, Steve and family,
