Marie Dolores Rose, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2024, at the age of 87. Born on March 26, 1937, in the Bronx, New York, Marie's life was marked by warmth, love, and unwavering devotion to her family.
She is survived by her cherished children Christine and her husband Robert Schubert, Justine Rose, and Edward and his wife Joann, who continue to carry her spirit. Marie took immense pride in her grandchildren, including Rob Schubert and his wife Alexis, Matthew Schubert, James Yodice and his wife Suzie, Justin Yodice, Nicole Rose, Danielle Rose, and Ashley Rose. She was also a delighted great-grandmother to Mia Schubert, a joy that added vibrancy to her golden years.
Marie shared a special bond with her sister, Elaine McGuiness, and her husband Neil, who provided her with a loving familial connection. The legacy of Marie’s kindness extends to many loving nieces and nephews who were touched by her nurturing spirit.
A visitation will be held in her honor on October 24, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home, located at 1701 Deer Park Avenue, Deer Park, NY 11729. A funeral mass will be held at Saint Matthew Roman Catholic Church on October 25, 2024 at 9:45 AM.
Marie Dolores Rose will be remembered for her unyielding love for her family, her compassion for others, and the countless memories she created throughout her remarkable life. Her presence will be deeply missed but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
