Marie Louise (Cordts) Sovinski, a cherished mother, grandmother, great grandmother, World War II Veteran and friend, lived a life filled with grace, love, courage, and resilience, born January 16, 1921, she witnessed and embraced over a century of life, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her. Marie passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family on December 1st, 2024.
In her youth, Marie worked on her family's farm in White Cloud, Michigan where she developed a deep appreciation for family values, a strong work ethic, and perseverance. She attended Birch Grove country school near Loda Lake through the 8th grade. In order for her to attend high school, she moved into White Cloud and worked for her room and board. A swift courtship blossomed into a lifetime filled with love and memories. The couple spent their first year of marriage in New York City. As they began building their family, they decided to return to the Fremont area where they founded their business, The Hi-Lites Shoppers Guide and nurtured both a loving family and a thriving enterprise. Marie had an unparalleled zest for life. She was an avid world traveler, where she met people from all walks of life.
Through all her accomplishments and experiences in life, her greatest pride was her faith and her family.
