Mrs. Mary I Werner of Port Jervis, NY, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at her home. She was 93.
She was born June 30, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of the late William Clark and the late Mary (Bellizzi) Clark.
She married Wallace Raymond Werner on May 16, 1953 in Brooklyn and they were married for 64 years until his passing on July 14, 2017.
Mary has been a resident of the Port Jervis area since September of 1966. She retired as the co-owner of the Jersey Avenue Handy Stop and Werner's Novelties. She also was previously employed by Kolmar Laboratories, Andmore Sportswear, and J & B Taxi.
She is survived by her son, Allen of Port Jervis, her son William R., at home, and her grandson James of Kentucky. She is also survived by her sisters, Katherine Mikolajczak of Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey, Carol Connor of Staten Island, New York, and Theresa Clark of Coopersburg, Pennsylvania; her sister-in-law, Beverly J. Launius of West Plains, Missouri, and several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her brothers, William Clark, Joseph Clark and Robert Clark, and her sisters-in-law, Elaine Launius and Maureen Werner. Also by her brothers -in-law, Richard W. Connor, Hank Launius, and Bernard (Junie) Mikolajczak.
Family and friends are invited to visit the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, Inc., 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY 12771 on Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 11:00am to 1:00pm.
A Blessing service will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 1:00pm at the funeral home with Deacon Robert Leavy officiating.
Burial will be at Rural Valley Cemetery, Cuddebackville, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mary's name to the charity of your choice.
