Marietta "Billie" Morrison

Marietta Adele Morrison, also affectionately known as Billie to those close to her, a native of New York City and a resident of Daphne, Alabama, passed away on August 29, 2025, at the age of 75.
Billie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Her family was the most important thing in her life. She poured her heart into making everyone feel loved and cherished. She loved the holidays, especially cooking and entertaining family and friends. She also had a talent for crocheting.
Billie is preceded in death by her father, William Gaignard; mother, Rita Gaignard; brothers, Wendell and James Gaignard; and her son, Patrick Smith.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, David Morrison; her sons, Thomas and John Smith; daughter-in-law, Kathleen Smith; her nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who brought her so much joy. She devoted herself to filling their lives with love, laughter and happiness. She is also survived by her sister, Teresita Esposito and brother, Pat Gaignard; nieces and nephews; along with countless other relatives and friends.
A service to celebrate Billie's life will be held at Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road, Daphne, AL, on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 11AM. There will be a time of visitation before the service at 10AM.
